Alessandro Giorgi is an interdisciplinary artist based between Munich, Germany, and Torretta Granitola, a small fishing village on the southwest coast of the Italian island of Sicily. Working across canvases, works on paper, room installations, and animation, his practice explores drawing as a form of visual storytelling within a broad spectrum of media.
With a background in architecture, Giorgi’s work brings a spatial and systemic sensitivity to his artistic approach. Like an island connected to everything through the sea, Giorgi’s work seeks to link seemingly isolated elements, embracing the complexities, transformations, and interactions that shape ecosystems and contemporary life. His densely layered works, marked by chaotic lines and saturated color palettes, address themes such as anthropocentrism, climate crisis, and religion.
Rather than aiming for definitive interpretations, his work invites viewers to navigate shifting relationships among images, stories, and forms, encountering it as a process of exploration rather than resolution.
